We are proud to announce that the paper "Proceedings of the EuBIC Winter School 2017" has been published in the Journal of Proteomics. This article outlines the scientific program and discussions during the 2017 EuBIC Winter School, which was held in January in Semmering, Austria. More than 100 persons from over 14 countries including internationally renowned researched in the fields of bioinformatics and proteomics gathered at this event. Due to the huge success the Winter School will be organized annually, alternating between a developers meeting and a general conference open for everybody.

Our colleague Viktoria Dorfer served as head of the organization committee of this year's Winter School and is also the corresponding author of the paper presenting the conference's outcome. The paper was written by researchers from 6 different countries and 8 different labs, showing the mulinational cooperation within the members of EuBIC.
