We are incredibly proud to announce that our dear colleague Jonas Schurr has successfully defended his doctoral Thesis, earning the title Doctor of Engineering Sciences (Dr. techn). In his dissertation, Jonas made significant contributions to his research field!

Over the past years, Jonas has has shown excellence in research, teaching, and collaboration, consistently contributing to the academic community with passion and expertise. In his dissertation, "Computer Vision for the Analysis of Dynamic Processes in Early-Stage Bioimaging Setups", Jonas made significant contributions to his research field. Jonas presents innovative methodologies that combine computer vision, machine learning, and evolutionary algorithms to analyze complex biological imaging data. His Research enables analysis of novel biological imaging setups under challenging experimental conditions.

Surrounded by colleagues and his Supervisor Stephan Winkler, the quality of his dissertation were recognized with the highest distinction.
