Congratulations Dr. Dorl!

We are very proud and happy to announce that our dear colleague, researcher, lecturer, and now “Dr.” Sebastian Dorl has successfully defended his doctoral thesis and attained the title “Doctor of Natural Sciences”. In his dissertation titled “Identifying peptides and proteins in fragment ion mass spectrometry data using optimized search spaces” he highlights his key contributions to the field of proteomics, first and foremost by his research on identifying mass spectra of phosphorylated peptides and improved spectral library search. His outstanding scientific contributions and brilliant defense earned him the highest grade and he graduated summa cum laude in presence of his supervisors Stephan Winkler and Viktoria Dorfer. Congratulations Dr. Dorl!
