New Project Kick-Off: N!CA

In April 2024 we kicked-off a new project called N!CA. 

The N!CA project is about relieving and empowering nursing staff through the use of digitalization and is divided into three subprojects: The first project, aims at simplifying processes and (nursing) documentation, is led by the Medical University of Graz. The second project, focused on the intelligent use of routine data, is headed by the University of Applied Sciences Upper Austria, Campus Hagenberg and JOANNEUM Research. The third project addresses empowering nursing staff through digital decision support and is led by decide Clinical Software GmbH and the Medical University of Graz. The N!CA research consortium aims to rethink and dismantle outdated processes and structures, and to ease the burden on nursing, in part through digital support. The COMET project N!CA is funded within the framework of COMET – Competence Centers for Excellent Technologies by the BMK, BMAW, and the Province of Styria. COMET is managed by the funding agencies FFG and SFG.
