At the beginning of November, the International Conference on Industry 4.0 and Smart Manufacturing ISM 2022 finally took place in Hagenberg. For 2020 and 2021 this conference was already planned to be held at our campus, but due to the COVID pandemic it was held online – and now finally we got the possibility to gather in Hagenberg and attend the conference in person.

We saw great keynotes, very interesting talks and discussions, and great social events at the AEC in Linz as well as on the Pöstlingberg.

Our colleague Hannah Janout gave a talk on our research on industrial AI and surrogate modeling which we are working on together with colleagues from the HEAL group and ZKW, an industrial company located in Wieselburg (Lower Austria).

It was a great conference and we are looking forward to next year’s edition!
